Grey clouds covered every inch of the sky, a thin layer of snow covered every inch of the ground. I moved across the beach slowly, staring out at the sea as I padded on. It stretched on towards the horizon endlessly. I sometimes wondered what was out there, what was beyond the reaches of our island. But that was a foolish way to think, a wasteful way to go about your life. No, I had to focus on the problems I already had before me, not wonder about what else was out there.
I looked away from the sea. My problems were...personal problems. Nobody could ever figure out the real reason behind forming a pack. Panic would ensue throughout the island if they knew about what my plans were. I could not trust anybody but myself, had to put on a façade to fool the others and make them think that everything was okay. Everything was not okay, though. Things were very wrong on The Island. The way that The Empire ran The Island needed to be changed, and I planned on doing just that. Not yet, though. No, it was, unfortunately, too soon for that to happen. I had to bide my time and lurk in the shadows until I could topple the mighty pack.
I sat down on the beach, contemplating what I was to do next. I didn't quite know why I had come to the beach, as there was nothing for me to do on the beach other than walk on the snow-covered sand. There was the water, of course, but it was far too cold to be enjoyable. I suddenly let out a low howl out, alerting anybody who was nearby that I was here. I felt a strange need to be around others at the moment, regardless of who that someone might be.

Not the greatest post, but it'll have to do for now until I get my muse back.
